I got a new fish, a pink tail trigger a few weeks ago. Still working on fattening him up, as he was skinny as a rail when I got him. He begs for food everytime he see's me now. I was trying to do some top downs and he was biting the top down box thinking I was about to pour food in lol. Now I am feeding my tank a minimum of 5 cubes a day of frozen mysis, krill, and some rods food as well. He will even eat algae off the clip with my tangs.

Very cool! You already have a big skimmer don't you? I would start to get worried about adding that much more food a day..

Yeah he is a cool fish, loves to eat He is always right up front begging for food. Yesterday I was trying to use my top down box to look in and he tried to bite it thinking I was going to be pouring in more food lol.

For skimming I run a Euroreef RC180 and a Bubbleking mini 200. I just ordered 1000ml of the NP Biopellets also and am going to see if they help a bit.

He seems fine with my other fish. He does constantly want the best postition to feed though and as the food hits the water and drifts towrds the vortech he will keep eatting untill he is on top of the vortech , the tangs are smart enough to catch it coming back out lol. He gets right on top of the vortech and stuck himself to it a couple days ago, lucky I was watching him eat and unplugged it real quick. I also think any fish smaller then my fang blenny would be food, but he leaves the blenny alone. I have never even seen him chase it.

Right now I have

2 Black+White Ocellaris
1 Fang Blenny
1 Yellow tang
1 Sohal Tang
1 Foxface
2 Lawnmower blennys
1 Flame Angel
1 Tamarin wrasse (Anampses meleagrides)
1 Princess damsel
and the trigger.

He hasn't bothered any fish or corals in anyway, clams have been fine too. I am sure he ate my peps though lol. I really have no clean up crew in this tank either, no snails or hermits. I added a bunch of snails when I set this tank up last year but none lived past the first year.

He is still pretty new to the tank so time will tell but so far he has been a fun fish to have in the mix.

That's a really nice looking fish. Really nice picture too. I can't ever seen to get my fish to stop moving long enough to get a decent picture. I'll be picking out a new group of fish for my new tank, I may try and get something similar to what you have there.

This trigger has to be the most tame fish Ive ever owned. He went from the LFS to completely comfortable with me in days. He waits for me right at the front and eats out of my hand, if I am pouring my frozen slurry in the tank from a solo cup as soon as he sees the solo cup's edge hit the water he starts biting it lol. He is an absolute pig, I could probably feed him all day long and he would just keep eating. He also added a ton to my bio-load though, I could have added several smaller fish and added less to my load, so thats something to consider when adding a heavy eater like this.
