That sure looks like cyanobacteria (not cyno) to me. I think you've got it spot on. Tang looks happy, nosy one, yeah? I'd wanna get some powerheads directed right at it, if possible. I'm not a fan of treating with an antibiotic, but some folks have used that technique very well. Have you read up on it here and elsewhere? (WetWebMedia) It's been a few years since I've even thought about the stuff.

ive been reefing for 5 years now, and never had to deal with it. so im kind of new to treating it.


there's a good bit of flow in there with the 2 mp40w's . i have them both on full tilt. I think I'll put some modded mj 1200s in there too until it goes away.

and yes.. all my fish and even corals are happy, growing, and have good PE.. just don't want it to get out of hand.
