I have a client who has a Jelly aquarium up and running but now they want jellys in it and I was wondering what your thoughts on them are and what are the easiest and most cost effective to get

I have talked to Jim many times about this but I am not a person to base all decisions on just one opinion. Now the tank is a verticle standing round aquarium made out of fiberglass

You really didn't give me much to go on there... flow? Filtration? Chiller?

Assuming you want to do tropical, Mastigias and Catostylus. If you have a chiller and this is a kreisel tank, Aurelia. These are probably the easiest to find information on and obtain specimens. Chrysaora is very cool but probably a bit too big for a home tank.

the total tank height is 6ft is the diamiter of the circle with a slow counter clockwise flow. There is a chiller on the setup to keep it at any temp that I need to have it at. Here are two of the pics I have and dont worry the filtration on the tank is been redone so dont flame me about the mini fridge chiller. Lets put it this way I love other people mess ups cuz I get to fix them the right way.

Out of curiousity, how has it been redone? Sand filter removed and a protein skimmer added?

That setup looks perfectly adequate for doing Aurelia if you can keep the temp down to about 55.

Large skimmer, 1hsp chiller added and the 5 gallon bucket of sumerged bioballs and the diy minifridge chiller removed. I left the sand filter cuz I thought it would do a good job in biological filtration for the setup. What are your thoughts? What about violet jellys? Where would I get Aurelia Jellys?

I read the news article on Alex from another link and it did impress me. He took time to prepare and freeze plankton in a lab that's featured in his house, its for sale too, and he did do some research and pre testing with certain species, the casseo's are what he settled on. Rather than being throw together it was really well thought out.

Azoo makes a nice line of colloidal/suspension feeds specific to jellies if anyone wanted to know
