Im new here, but I also say- Just Do It. Ive had an MI in my 180 SPS reef for 18 months now and it is doing well. I tried several times before without sucess, then I found one in my LFS that was alerady eating New Life Spectrum pellets. I put him straight into my reef and hes been eating everything since. I fed really heavily for the first 6months, but now just 1-2x per day. He eats all NLS pellets, Formula1, 2 flakes, frozen mysis, bloodworms, cyclops, nori and devours thawed clams on the half shell and squid. He eats coralline and green/yellow sponges from the rocks all day. Unfortunately, he recently took a liking to my brown polyps. They were overgrowing my rock anyway, and were the least attractive ones (he left the pink, blue, green and yellow ones alone). The rock space he cleared I gladly replaced with SPS frags. He never bothered any SPS, giant clams or inverts. His tankmates are my tang gang: powder blue (tank boss), achilles (2nd in command), Dori, des sailfin, Kole, blonde naso, yellow, and vlamingi. They all stay away from MI. BTW, the banner on your MI looks great!
