Hi all, I am making a item/cost list for the 10g sps tank I am planning.

The planned lighting, when I can afford it, is 150 watt HQI, something that will dock on the tank like this:

Anyway, I have been out of the loop for a long long time with regard to lighting advances (and if/when I set up a big tank, being the luddite I am, I will go back to 400 watt Iwasakis). Anyway, I was wondering where/how to get the best price on one of these units.

Nanotuner's has them.

They had the best prices on most everything when I set up my 28G.

Nanotuners would be a good place to start. I'd also look into the newer version of the Viper, it has an integrated fan and people seem to really like that better. Also, you can try Ebay there are several reputable reef equipment dealers there.

I disconnected the fan on my Sunpod. It was way to noisy. And IMO a fan is not needed with an open tank.
