Question about PH....our I.T. guy is a newby and he's having problems with his PH. It's 8.8...the only additive he's dosing is Purple Up. He put 30 ml of distilled white vinegar to bring the PH down to 8.3-8.4 which last about 2 weeks then back up again. He dose 20% water change every 2 weeks.
Oh yeah....tank specs....
30 ga tank about 4 mths old. It's fish only right now. Diamond Goby, Royal Gamma, 2 baby damsels, 2 star (sandsifting & serpent), 3 emeralds, various snails & crabs...
Can yall help with why the PH won't stay down? My best guess is that there isn't enough water flow but I'm really not sure. He has a bubble curtain and no power heads. I have been telling him to invest in 2 powerhead on each side but I really want you guys' opinion.
