The easiest way is to buy a TDS meter. Just about all our dry goods sponsors have TDS meters, and they aren't terribly expensive (well, they can get expensive, but a cheap one will suffice).

Yup. A laboratory-grade, multi-functions resistivity/conductivity meter can go up to several grands.

Len, do you know if Randy or anyone else make a comparison between various hobby-grade TDS meters on the market? I know most are not very good (in my standard,) but it would be nice to know if certain brand/model is better than the others.

I haven't seen any such test. You should do one :P

I'm using a Hanna Dist TDS meter.

I don't mind to do it, but I only have two TDS meters, and both are not the type people use in the hobby.
