My local pet store happened upon a brown octopus that has me hooked.I read the great article by Toonen, but still have questions for anyone who owns or has owned one.I have a 55gal reef-style setup that I'm prepared to lid,and possibly move some locals.Question one-there is a moray that is friendly and on a frozen diet, but how much do they like the taste of of octo?He is not aggressive(at 16-17 inches)and on a regular feeding time.Second question-is there a suitable powerhead cover solution?Third-are airstones in a sparsely populated 55 creating enough oxygen(temp-80-81,sal-30-32)for this cephalopod? Thanks for any help.

Morays do not get along well with octopuses. It's a matter of time before one makes a meal of the other (usually the eel).
You can get sponge filters to attach to powerheads to make them invert/octo safe.
Airstones are enough to oxygenate the water depending on how powerful your air pump and how big your air stones are.
Keep in mind Cephalopods have relatively short natural life spans.

Thanks for the reply.Even a short time with these amazing creatures has to make an impact.Looks like another tank is in my future. The eel has never taken a victim,i'd hate for his first to be an octopus.
