re barbed fittings or just regular slip

Does anyone use barbed fittings to connect to their bulkheads? If so do you have any problems?

I don't like the idea of a loose clamp. Certainly if I stay with the barbed fittings I'd go with double clamps.

I'm thinking of swapping out the barbed fitting bulkheads I have from the AGA megaflow kit with regular slip.

Any comments greatly appreciated.

I have never had a problem with a barbed fitting coming loose. I do put a hose clamp over them to be sure.

Barbed fitting with clamps Way better than Slip on unless you glue the slip on but then you can never undo it, so the barb is better.

Ditto. I would most definately use clamps especially if you are going into a bulkhead that is upside down. Don't ask me how I know this!
