Okay, I have a beautiful new set of lights but the included stand supports don't fit my 72G bowfront. There are including cables to suspend the light from the ceiling but putting holes in the ceiling is not an option at this time. I would like to suspend the lights using the included cables from some sort of light stand that either stands on its own or attaches to the top of the tank. Sort of like the new Current USA set up for their orbit fixtures. I called the manufacturer, Hamilton Technology, about the problem and they suggested a solution at home depot that I have yet to be able to find. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I thought about buying one of these but there were a lot of complaints about them not being adjustable.

I had to resort to putting the Current Fixture (Nova HO Extreme with 8 54w bulbs) back over the tank. Other than that, there is nothing on top of the tank except one of the glass lids. The tank is 23 inches by 48 inches by 18 inches at the widest point. Otherwise, its about 13 inches at the narrowest portion.

A solution was found. I got a little professional help to modify the tank stands so they would fit the tank. Unfortunately the glass lids no longer fit but I only used one anyway. Fortunately, the guy only charged me $10 to do the job. The end result looked really clean and you have to really look to see it was modified at all. He even helped me set the rest of the lighting system up so I gave him and extra 10 bucks.
