Probably a pretty noob question but, I am getting things together to set up a tank. After not using my skimmer, Euro reef CS6-2, for about 5 years I put it into the sump an did a wet run with bathtub water. While it made some bubbles it was nothing like the amount it made when I used it on the reef tank. Is that because there is something wrong with the pump or because the tap water doesn't have the salinity and everything else that a tanks water would have in it? Air line is open and unclogged and it did make bubbles just nothing like what it used to.
