looking for help with an R/O unit.....

need help fixing an r/o unit. willing to pay a couple of bucks if someone can figure this problem out for me. it sends out r.o water like it doesnt even go through the unit. i tried adjusting the flow stopper but it didnt work. would love to have someone over to fix this for me or i am willing to drive in the local area if someone can help with this.

If the water is coming out fast then....the membrane isnt in the housing properly...that could be one thing for you to check....

When is the last time you changed the filter cartridges? I had the same probem and realized the fist chamber (sediment filter) was completely clogged.

i changed them all at the same time. i have all brand new ones, i dont want to put them in until i know i can fix this problem

Can't hurt to take a peek inside the canisters to see if they are clogged, might work out to be an easy fix.
What reading are you getting on your TDS meter, that should give you a clue?

He told me the water was coming out at an extremely fast rate...almost as fast as the faucet water...I dont think he has a clog....cause then the water wouldnt be able to go through so fast...and he said he already checked the membrane....:scratch: this one's a mystery...

But perhaps the water bypasses clogged filters and maybe rushes out due to that? Just guessing on this odd issue

i really would appreciate it and i am willing to pay someone if they can fix this problem for me. ). that is how annoying this has been for me. i have played with it for to long. anyone willing to take a shot and look at it for me? i am willing to give you a couple of bucks if you can figure it out for me.

Where are you getting your cartridges from?? Maybe you have a faulty membrane even though its installed correctly...hey let me know when its a good time to pass by so i can mess with the RO see if i get it going....
