Blue Leg Hermits and Cyano?

Do these guys attack cyano bacteria?
I am having a bit of a cyano bloom and would like some advise on what animal(s) is(are) good at eliminating it

mines never touched the thing,there are some snails though,forgot the name cerith i think.

my ceriths don't even take care of mine. Just siphon it and try to take care of the problem thats causing it. Usually Po4 so once you correct that your good. Just siphon it out as it doesn;t just stop and dissapear.

IME hermits never touched cyano. What are your PO4 parameters? Water flow?

I have found that the local tiny hermit crabs in Peconic Bay will eat cyano, so I'd assume that blue-legs will also. That said, they don't eat enough to make a noticable dent. The amont of hermits needed to eat up a cyano outbreak would overrun the tank....Take care, Eric

I've noticed that my scarlets like cyano....but they dont eat it fast enough......

Yes! The best way to deal with cyano is to attack the problem (phosphates) not the symptom (cyano).
