Don’t think you can go wrong with either way. I was really considering going back to MH when setting up my new tank but glad I decided on Kessil. Shimmer is amazing and spread looks good.

Haven’t tested par or added coral to the tank yet but I suspect all will work out well for a mixed tank. With 36” depth I am likely going to have to do some strategic placement of coral. Wish I could tell you more but just haven’t gotten that far yet.

Hi, please PM if you want. I just purchased three Kessil 360x for my 220 gallon reef. My tank is 20 years old, and after three weeks, I cannot believe the change. No bulb changes, and I cannot wait to see the change in my electrical bill.

If you want to save some money take a look at the reefbreeders Photon V2 plus series. I have two 32" Photon V2+ on my DT spllemented by two Orphek 60" OR3's light bars on front and two OR3's on the back.
