Agree. 20k for the whole house with automatic switch is the way to go. No worry for the tank and you have power when everyone else doesn’t.stand by is way to go, I have Generac 20k it came with switch and it supports the whole house, I had generac portable but every time power went out I had to run back home to start the generator and turn off when power come back, it was 1 of the best investment I did by having stand by generator, tank is happy and family is happy, power is on in less than 60 seconds of power outage,
20k is overkill, so I share this with 2 of my neighbors 1 of them has 40 breeder with LPS, they can have essentials going while power is out,Agree. 20k for the whole house with automatic switch is the way to go. No worry for the tank and you have power when everyone else doesn’t.
I bought this one late last year when I bought my house. I turned it on and it's relatively quiet. It's nice that you can just flip a switch and use propane if you needed to.
