you can be little creative if you like and add float switch and solenoid valve, if float switch drops it will open the solenoid valve and release the co2 and close when co2 is gone and water rises, just a suggestion..

are you controlling the co2 with ph probe and is it calibrated?
I finally figured it out. The float wasn't moving freely like it was supposed too. I had to loosen up the screw. Far as the ph, it was off because the co2 wasn't able to escape once I put the valve on the vent line.
