it's been there ever since my upgrade and have not move for a few weeks now but last night when i got home, my rbta is hiding all the way down in my tank. i put him back into the lights last night and now it's hiding again. this is a sign that it's going to split.

thanks

They tend to move and hide, when they find a spot they like they set their foot and the rest is history. Sometimes tho where you want them is not where they go.

Something caused it to move. It will find a new place when it feels like it. Sorry but it is a living thing nothing we can do about it's location unless it likes where we put them.

I have two, an RBTA and a GBTA. I setup my rocks so that the spots where I want them are full of holes (places to put their feet). The flow is also "optimal" at these locations.

That being said they disagree with me and found that against the back glass is actually the perfect spot for them. They were however nice enough to extend themselves so that it appears that they are where I wanted them. Last night my GBTA decided that the front of the tank, near the bottom of my rock work was the best spot. It looks good there as well.

IMO if you want an anemone to be in the spot you would like you should get 10 of them. With 10 in your tank you are pretty much guaranteed that ONE OF THEM will be in the spot you want at all times.

if your RBTA is hiding dont worry about right now , it is probably spliting , when shes ready it will come out and it tends to look for a spot that it will be comfterbable .
