I have had Xenia in my tank for some time thinking it would stay isolated only to have started growing on my sps rocks. I’ve tried to pull them but they keep shriveling and it’s almost impossible to remove. Has anyone tried to put coral putty on top of them to “kill” them off? Any advise would help

I have red Xenia in my reef. The key is to keep isolated on their own rock and don’t let them touch any other rock for extent period of time or they will attach. if they have, as mentioned, lpull off as much as you can and brush the remaining…any tissue left may grow back.
