I bought a AGA 90g rr tank last year for around $230. It was not worth standing in line for 3 hrs in the rain. This event is way over rated. Plus when I emailed them about a scratch on the tank...I got no response.
I can't wait on line for one hour to get in and 15min to buy something before the next group of people to come in. I past this year.if you didn't go before go a see for yourself.
i called them and there will be special pricing on the biocubes but they didn't know what kind of deal. They said the Oceanic reps will be there for the tank sales.
So you're the one who won that tank...good for you! Still have it?
Manyfish- they don't throw you out after 15 minutes..especially if you're buying something.
I recall puddles there last year but don't remember it raining while we were on line..we'd brought chairs and had a good time on line talking to other reefers. It didn't hurt that we were up at the front of the line either. That night was the first time I met Jim & Russ
I didn't buy anything that night and wasn't overly impressed with the pricing, even with the 'sales' pricing. Not bothering to go back this year...
I plan on going this year for the first time. Hope to meet some of you there.
Ive been to the store for clams and all I know is that the prices are very high on everything.
they don't throw you out,but their are other people that want to come in so it is a time limit.you don't want to be the other person that standing on line for hours because somebody is take their time.I like the midnight madness sale but i don't like to be rushing to buy fish or coral.I working 4pm to 12am so it was good for me,the first year they start the sale a few people show up now more than 200 people come to the sale.ever year it getting bigger.this is time to stack up on dry good and salt,mr member that are going enjoy the night and good luck, hope you win the prize
