Wave 2K wave maker

Anyone has any experience with them?Better than using lots of pumps I hear.Not a bad price for them unless I can get one used.

I have never used one but I've never seen a review that didn't include:

"Total piece of crap"

You an usually find two or three for sale on RC at any given time.

I have not heard a good review of this item as well. That is the reason I went with the Reefkeeper 2, it's a wavemeker and alot more, which was worth the extra money IMO.

How much is it?

It's in the 250 range, but it was well worth saving my money for. Why waste money on something when you could save it and buy something in the future that's better.

But it would still require me to buy more pumps to have it set up as a wavemaker.

Minimum of 2 pumps required( I recommend MJ1200's) but it works great plus it controls heaters and lights and chillers as well, the AC Jr works in the same way as well.

Expensive stuff but cool gadget though.I did see that wave2k in several lfs set ups.pretty cool though.I'll get more input before I decide what to get.Don't want to add any extra heat in my tank.

Like I said it's more practical to save your money and get something that may be better and could do more as well..
