Two Unrelated Questions

1) I want to paint my stand and canopy of my new tank black. Can anyone recommend a type of all weather paint that will yield a shiny, non-streaky surface?

2) I am having a roach problem in my apartment - my whole building is infested. The exterminator has come by a couple of times but every time he only has the spray insecticide. Though I hate the roaches, I am loathe to have an exterminator spray a bunch of chemicals around my apartment with the tank. I've been laying down boric acid and restaurant strength commercial gel roach-icide, but it's not working so well. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I could poison-proof my fish system so that the exterminator could spray around?

first one you can use rustolium paint, what i used to paint mine, sencond question, if they are in the building no matter what you do to your apartment you will always have them because your neighbors have them

Right, but they are exterminating the entire building, I don't want to provide a safe haven for the little buggers because there is no poison being laid down in my apartment.
