Hello Manhattan Reef members, I'm looking to buy a better quality timer to control my Calcium Reactor's on/off state. I'm curious to know what are everyone's thoughts and personal experiences with the Hamilton 24 Hour Digital Timer. I understand that you can set this timer presets down to the minute which make integration with my Calcium Reactor a definite must. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Jason how much is that timer? If you can save some cask I would either buy a Reefkeeper 2 or a Aquacontroler. They do alot more and the RK2 is about 250 so it the AC Jr.

Scott the owner is a member here you could send him a PM.

The Hamilton 24 Hour Digital Timer is only about $17.00 and all I need to it to is to control the Selonoid Regulator by turning it on and off for a period of time that I want CO2 to be introduced into the Calcium Reactor. I can't justify the price for an aquarium controller just for my Calcium Reactor since everything else in my aquarium is working properly and has never given me an issue.

I would suggest strongly for you to invest in a p.h. controller of at least a monitor if you're going to install a ca reactor.

Dean are there any links you could hook up here to explain it's importance?

No problem I understand I saved for months for mine. It was just a suggestion that's all. I have timers as well (regular non digital ones) If you want one I'll give you one.
