I'm pretty sure it is ich - all the signs are there. In any event, the cowfish's condition has not changed at all. It still has ich, still eating and acting normally.

For those of you who got rid of ich with garlic and/or time, how long did it take until you saw improvement?

Thanks!
Alex

My ammonia levels are fine. WOPSQUAD, you filthy hooligan. Don't tell me how to run my tank and I won't tell you how to run yours.

*edit* WOPSQUAD, I am sorry I called you a filthy hooligan. You are not really filthy. I just get all worked up cause my cowfish is sick you know?

Friends?

BTW: Don't just drop all the bits of garlic in the tank. Before I got garlic extreme, I just crushed a clove of garlic as best as I could, put about 1 Oz of tank water in there, mix it a bit. Then I take out most if not all of the pieces, then soak the food in the liquid. (Long story short, just use the garlic juice.)

You should be alright. You might consider giving the cow fish to a friend to hold or just take. Because if it dies during your honey moon, the toxin it will release into your water will probably kill other fishes.

Oops, yeah I dropped a couple of bits in by accident. Is that bad? Or just not effective? Did the garlic extreme work better than the crushed garlic?

It took me about 2-3 weeks to be rid of ick because it came and went.
Now I've been ick free for well over 3 months.
