I read somewhere that you can make a slurry to ?feed? apitasta anemones to kill them. Does anyone know the details on how to do this? I'm not quite sure if you just squirt the slurry on them, have them ingest it, or what. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Make a paste out of fw & kalk..like toothpaste..fill a syringe and shoot it directly into their mouth. Don't overdo it or do a bunch at the same time. It will throw off your water parameters.
Or you could also use white distilled vinegar.
Have you tried peppermint shrimp?

No the vinegar won't mess up the water as long as you only do a few at a time. You also don't have to shoot them with very much. Do keep up with your water changes though!
Yes, you are aiming to get it right into the center of the aiptasia, the vinegar won't work if your squirt it on the outside.

careful with the kalk. if you use too much and then turn your power heads and pump back on, it will blow around your tank and burn whatever it lands on.

I tried that whole boiling water, vinegar needle injecting procedure and the aiptasia just laughed at me.I had one when I tried it.I thought it was gone but much to my surprise when I got back from vacation I had 7.I asked a friend what he used and he gave me a bottle of this stuff called"Aiptasia Control" made by a company called Blue Life.He got it from a guy who has his own Aquarium Maintenance Company and swore by it. The box it comes in also says Blue Vet RX on the upper left hand corner.I had to turn off all pumps, powerheads and skimmer. With the syringe I was directed to squirt some of it over the aiptasia and wait a while.I turned on everything and till this day which is a month later not a single anenome in site. I purchased a bottle from DR.Fosters and Smith just to have in case some show up in the future through newly aquired frags.I'm happy and so are my corals.

I put boiling water in a turkey baister and squirt some on an aptaisa. I took the frag with the hitchhiker out of the tank before i did this of course. Never saw it again even after 2-3 months. I got a new frag with another aptaisia hitchhiker. Must do it again. But i'm a little scared cause its pretty close to the coral itself.
