I have a uno marlin pump that I bought for my 210 before i sold it and got a120. The pump is a little to strong for my cl system and I'm thinking of replacing it with another smaller pump that will be good for my 120 g. It will be hooked up to a 4 way so can anyone recommend a good pump .

How do you have the CL plumbed since your tank isn't drilled? I ask because the Dart has a 2" inlet and an 1.5" out as opposed to the Marlin's 1" in & 3/4"out.

I've been using a Dart on a closed loop with an OM 4-way on a 120 for a few years now and honestly, I think it is too much flow coming out of the 1 inch outlets. Problem is that you can't place corals less then 10" from the outlets or they end up getting the tissue blown off.

I've been looking around to at least bring it down to a Snapper or less.

Dart/Snapper convert

I also have a 120. I started out with a Dart and it was causing a microbubble problem as it was too strong for my sump. I spoke to the manufacturer and to to keep me happy the sold me a new impeller(only $10.00 delivered) which converted the Dart to a Snapper (thats the only differance between them) Its still a little strong but I can valve it down to were it is fine. The pump itself gets hot to the touch but with 160 gal. in my total system I don't notice any temperature problems
