I'm assuming the in sump ones..they're not water tight
The pump easily goes off the body which I guess you could somehow silicone or glue them together, but good luck servicing it when it needs to be, as well as the whole skimmer would overflow onto the floor while emptying the skim cup, but I suppose you can unplug it while cleaning. Not to mention the skim cup and the body isn't completely water tight either so it'll have a slow leak while in operation. Just put a big bucket under it to catch all the drips :lol2:

Perhaps take an external model and create an acrylic bracket to mount it on the tank lip. The big issue then would be finding a way to feed it. This could be done with an ugly pump visible in the tank.

what kind of tank are u going do this on,,,.....if it can sit on the stand...then it would be safer because it wasnt meant to be hung...
or get a hang on skimmer to save the trouble.

if its not that big of a tank.....i seen a thread on RC with people modding a odyssea skimmer with great results....cheap and effective

...looking

I knew it wasnt possible, but it never hurts to try... I am curently using a 125 coralife power skimmer( inkow i know) but the only thing that makes me love it that I can make the tube for the air intake quite so I can turn the skimmer on at night. :)
looking for a remora pro, or other hang on skimmers....
