Webcam?

Anyone here have a web cam setup for their tank?
I'm thinking about setting one up but don't know anything at all. Anyone here use one or have any advice on what I should get or look for?
I'm guessing that the white balance is the biggest issue with a cheaper webcam. I'd like to get good true color and as close to streaming video as possible. 10-30 fps would be nice.

i had used "simplecam" n works fine but it seems to b having problem with java applet now. so i use terminal services to connect to my webcam now. the resolution is not as great since my upload max out at 60 kbps but it good enough to check if everything is ok.

I played around with the Panasonic Webcam

It works well but I didn't want to leave the room light on all the time for better picture quality.

I was thinking of putting it on the side of the tank right up close to the glass. I also don't want to leave a room light on. Ya think this is necessesary if the camera is close enough to the glass?

my cam is about 1.5' from the tank. the tank mh is too bright especially with the room light off. i have to lower the exposure of the cam to 50%.
