been shoping around for tanks. looked at the 65 gallon like i wanted to get. aslo looked at some bow fronts and corners. then i went onto myreefcreations.com and seen there cube tanks.. they are made otu of acrylic. not to sure about acrylic for a main display. so need some advice on that. but i do like the 36x36x24 cube tank. get alot of depth for aquascaping make some great caves with that much depth. wanted to have the over flow external. and have 4 tunze built in. insted of a closed loop.

I hate, and thats a strong word I rarely use in this hobby, tanks with any type of curved glass. It creates a magnifying effect as you move your eyes across the tank. Not only does this create some distortion, but if your looking closely it forces your eyes to constantly refocus which gives me a headache after awhile. If I was you, I would go look at people with bowfronts and half rounds, and really look at them for awhile before I purchased one.

As to acrylic, I have never owned one but hear lots of stories about how easy they are to scratch. In my pursuing of the various boards I think people who buy acrylic, often do so because of weight issues on very large tanks.

i have a bow front corner n its true on the magnifying effect(maybe about 5-10%). but i donno bout the "constantly refocus " part. i haven't experience any of that.

That's why i think that you need to really spend time looking at one. It drives me nuts, then again my eyes tire very easily and I have some trouble focusing on items that are close to me.
