I'm running a Q1 3000 externally from my sump as a return & the pump is loud. From searches, I found that this may be due to bubbles entering the pump. Also, It's sending a gang of microbubbles back up to the display.
I'm hoping that since the sump, plumbing & pump are all new, this may attribute to the bubbles which will dissipate over time? Yes? Also, I stitched together a filter sock using 50 micron floss. Should that help?
I'm looking to get a foam piece to put on the intake of the return pump, should that help? I can't really slow the water flow down any more or the whole thing will be pretty much useless. Please help, specifically please tell me what you did to solve the bubble issue. Thanks!
