All I can afford is a quiet one 4000 for my 90g and 25g sump.I wish I can get the Eheim.Big Al's on line sold me a bad one and now waiting for Pentair to send me a new one.Noisy piece of junk.Which pumps do you guys recommend?Little giant is pretty expensive and I heard Mags run hot.I need something reliable and running cool.

I got a Quiet One 3000 & at first it was noisy but that was due to it sucking in air from one of the connections (the one without the rubber O-ring) which I remedied with a small rubber band. I am running it externally & it stays cool & operates with a low hum.

here's something similar to the output of a quiet1 4000

1262 Hobby Pump
898 gph with a max head of 11.8 feet at 80 watts. Input 25/34 mm, output 16/22 mm.

Model 1262$129.99

although it's more than 2x the price of quiet1, a lot of people claim it is more quiet n cooler.

One testimonial on Dr F&S said he had it running for 11 years.Wow.That's a good product!I hope it's quiet. For now,I have to run the quiet one until I can get some money to get this one.Thanks.I'm convinced to buy this one.
