algae under sand

i have my fuge under my setup and i noticed yesterday i have green algae growing diectly under fuge light.is this bad and how can i get rid of this problem.

Many reefers have a refugium specifically to grow algae in there.

let me specify,its growing under my main tanks sand.i noticed it when i was cleaning out my sump.i looked up and green algae where the light is

how can i get rid of this problem.

Cover the bottom of the tank; i.e. tape some black construction paper above the fuge light.
