Copper pipes and copper RO DI valve = BAD NEWS???

Hey guys

Looked under my sink and it looks like i have some copper pipes in there. Dont know the extent of it, but defintely some copper on my feed lines.

Also noticed the valve of my RODI was copper. Is this going to ruin my reef? Does this affect corals ie SPS? or should i just be worried about inverts?

If it does, should i set up a carbon reactor for the feed line of my RODI will that even work??

if its before your filter unit I would say it doesnt matter considering all the copper piping it goes through to get into your house. the ro/di is going to filter out everything anyways just dont have any copper after its out of the filter

Good answer - if the copper is before the membrane, or on the waste line, you're ok.

Pretty much all water lines in homes are copper. The valve is probably brass. You're OK.
