Are 2 koralia#4's too much in a 90g non reef tank?Are there any controllers for it?

I have 2 Koralia #4s hooked up to a wave timer in my 75 gal. I positioned them on the back wall close to each side aimed so they hit the tank sides first giving them an even wider flow dispersal. It is a mostlty softie reef tank w/about 100 lbs of LR to further break up the flow. I am happy w/them.

Good Question! I have two #4's in my 93, and I can't seem to find a good solution.
Playing around with the position hasn't worked out. Pointed at the surface, great turbulence but not enough movement on the bottom. Pointed them towards the glass, pulls up all the sand, and sand storm ensues Pointed them toward the rocks, corals get slammed. At a loss, guessing that's why people get controllable units, atleast one of the reasons for getting a controllable units.
I was going to place 3rd powerhead with much less flow near the bottom, something like a tunze 625 or seio 620.
If you purchase a timer or controller to use with your 4's, I'd be interested feedback. Good luck with it.

zany is this a fowler tank ? do you have sand ? or bare bottom ? asking cause it would depend how you set them aimed. if it is a fish only you can make a flow stream for the fish to swim in. and the pulsating wave effect really doesnt matter if it is fish only. and mike you just have to find that sweet spot, and a small flow ph isnt going to be a tunze or a seio both are over 600 gph get a mj1200 or something of the likes

Sandy bottom.And it is fish only for now.The Achilles doesn't mind,it's the poor clown struggling to swim but I repositioned them and now it seems fine.
