Burn In time for new lighting system.

How long do I need to run my sunpod 20 inch MH lights before I can use them on my tank?
I am not sure how to start with them. Can I just replace my old ligting system with a normal cycle, or does that mess up the tank. Still only have 2 shrimp and 1 lobster and 1 bubble coral as it is a new tank.

alot depends on type of light you had before, if you had pc's or t5's i would only run a 2-3 hour period and slowly raise the time the lights are on and put corals as close to bottom and slow raise them back up in the tank over a period
