I had a snail go into this pump:
http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewItem~idProduct~JW1135.html

It shattered the impeller.
It's part 04 from this drawing:
http://www.panworldamericas.com/PX/Inch/B2051001.pdf

I contacted the pump distributor in the US (I called him and it went to his house at 9pm, oops!)

He quoted me $54 for the part, which seems a tad high (although cheaper than buying a replacement).

Should I just buy it? (and think of the pump as costing $200 which is the list price on marinedepot) Or is there a cheaper way to get this piece?

(Note, my fishies are fine, I got a new pump fedex'd to me the next day, although after installing it, I had a piece of shell get stuck in the pump. Ugh, I need a screen on the intake).

I'm going to the frag swap. Hope to get some advice on taking my tank to the next level (its ok now, but clearly a noobie tank, not very beautiful).
