In case of Power Failure

The previous tread got me thinking: with the snow and cold weather coming on, does anyone have an idea what to do if the power goes off? I have a 26 gallon invert tank.

I know about the portable air pump but what do do about heating?

Good question about the heating.I suppose it depends on the climate in the house and the longevity for the outage.I suppose a generator is in order for such emergencies,besides,With the global warming,I wouldn't bet on a lot of snow.

Hot water bottle

This only works if your home has a gas stove. Fill some rubber hot water bottles with hot water and float them in the tank
