I just got some really nice rock from someone the other day, only thing is, it's been sitting around for a few years. When it was put away and removed from the tank he had some real bad algae going on so it sat in the sun for a few day before it was put into milk crates..now I want to use it, so I let it sit in a trash can for a few days adding bleach and changing the water about 3 times until it came out looking clean. then rinsed it maybe 3 times and let it sit in clean water with a 10X dose of tap water dechlorination stuff a few times until I could no more smell bleach...
So how long do you think until it's safe to put in the tank?
