special event rate for parking in the nearest gararge?

has anyone tried to get a special parking rate for the closest parking lot.....looks like we will have over 200 people at this event and parking would be crazy...especially for the ones that are coming later in the day.....

thats great business for the parking lots also.......
cheaper rate but they will get a mass amount of cars

it's seem that because of the location and the day of week that there should be enough "free" parking around the area. We'll see how that works out, good luck out there people!

As with anywhere in the city, because its pretty much regulation free in the surrounding area the parking will be full of people that live in the area. Its still going to be hard to get spots. So come prepared for that.

There's alot of free sunday parking if you go towards the wall street area. If not, I usually park my car at a lot on Pearl St for $15 the whole day on Saturday's.

I think around the old DMV there is parking all day for 10 bucks or so (next to starbuck) I always park there if I need to go to chinatown.

There are very little residential buildings in the area.

City hall is there and mostly a bunch of businesses. City Hall is the main reason there is a parking problem.

Autopicz I am glad you thought of this idea actually, it is a great one. You should start with the closest one to pace and work your way out when you talk to the parking garage people. Another Great MR member volunteering to help out the wonderful community we have here!!!

lol....i wish i can help if i was in the ny area.....but im residing in philly right now and wont be back untill saturday night.....so sorry for the confusion....

i have gotten used to not parking my honda in the streets if i can avoid it...i will see if i get lucky and find a spot near pace...if not im going into a nearby parking lot....i have a few bulky items that i need to bring and a far walk wouldnt be fun...

unless i camp out in my car untill the swap opens on sunday..:scratchch:biglaugh:
