NOOOOOISY halide fixture and ballasts!

I have " Current " Sunpod 48" halide fixture and the cooling fan in the ballasts and the in the fixture itself are just too noisy, and the tank is located in the bedroom. Did any one try changing the fans to a better quieter ones? is that even an option? if so, where do you get these fans from?

It is surely an option

The best place to get these fans is either an online computer parts dealer or even a store like best buy or comp usa will have them.

It is as easy as splicing a few wires.

this might be a odd question, but why not just turn off your lights and fans when you go to sleep also??

Clean the fans the dust makes them come off center a little bit..

i have the outer orbit.....the fans do have a nice hum to them.....but if it bothers you...you can try noodleman's method......or open up the fixture and change to some low db fans.....when you look at the fans from outside the fixture....you can see the screws.....and if theres nowhere to plug the fan in....splice the wires and connect them with wire nuts ....make sure you match the voltage and mah.
