i have a cousin in indonesia that would like to ship coral to NYC. i am wondering any of u guys have done this before?
do i need any license to do that?
please help me with this, what do i need to make all the process smooth?

you cannot import animals into the US without a license.

also, from what I understand, inverts can only arrive in the us via LAX. Fish can be shipped directly to JFK.

Via Los Angeles Airport. What's the point of even trying to get them shipped to you. Is he collecting them legally?...If you were a wholesaler it would be worth it, but i can't see an individual doing this. He would have to send you alot of them, because i'm sure by the time they clear customs they would be in trouble. That's just my opinion. Stick to local and you will be ok, lol.
