Changing the Di filter question...

Okay, its time for me to change the DI filter, i just went on airwaterice.com they are saying they have resin for the DI filter. I looked at my RO unit, which is a Coralife RO/Di unit...and i tried to open the DI cartriage no luck? Am i trying to open it the wrong way? Or do i have to throw it out and get the AWI cartridge? Any help would be amazing thanks guys

If it is a refillable cartridge it should simply unscrew at the bottom. If not buy one once and you'll have it for a long time.

also if i get a new RO cartriage..i am suppose to not use the first 10 gallons right?

It depends, the manufacturer should have instructions on it. 10 gallons should be safe. Use it for laundry or plants. I believe there are traces of preservatives or something like that in the first few gallons.
