I getting my rr75 tomorrow,& wanted to know your opinion on what type of light to go with.I will be keeping mostly sps. TIA.

2 175W MH

2 250W MH

T5's,I NEVER USED T5'S, but have seen alot of nice sps tanks with them.


Please dont hold back on your opinion.I am really trying to get an "all in one fixture"If its MH i would like to have atinic sup as well.Links,& pics are appreciated.

Thats what i was thinking.Does anyone know of a good all in one 250w set up.Im not much of a wiring guy,i like plug,& play,& dont mind paying for that luxury.Thankx,Dave.

(2) 250's if you get some nice 14k bulbs (phoenix or something like that) you'll barely even need the actinics and it wont really matter IMO. You'll get that reall nice shimmer effect

I'm going to go against the grain here and say 2 x 150w 10k MH w/ actinic supplementation. For a 75g tank (typically 21" high), the intensity of two 150s are more than enough to grow SPS (even around the bottom 1/4 of the tank), while not being too overpowering for some LPS corals (wellsophyllia/trachyphyllia brain corals, cynarina, etc.) that don't do as well under super intense lighting (should you chose to include them as part of your aquascaping).
