On my 6' 135g tank, I am using two Sure Flow 1600s on Maxi Jet 1200s. Great flow, but to be honest, I am getting some of the humming noise that is typical when using the old version of this mod (the 1600 gph prop) on the MJ 1200s. I spoke w/ Mark from Algae Free (the manufacturer of the SureFlow), and he is upgrading me to the new prop (2100 gph) that solves this problem on the 1200s. Great customer service with a well made product.

I have two 1200 and two 600 mj with the mods and i think there the best thing since sliced bread!!!! Crazy flow in my 120g!!! It looks like my boys have to hold on the rock before the get suck in the titlewave lol. I like them very much, and i only get noise on the start up from the 1200's ohh they the eco type!!

i have the gulfstream by triton, got it few weeks ago. after doing some research,i went with this cause i've heard on 1200 model, most others models developed noise problems.
they r $25 each shipped ,a bit more $ than others.
i had it on a wavemaker. it worked fine n quiet(except a low hum)when u stand close. a few days later,it started rattling like a mother. i hada take it off then contact triton. they informed me the propella was bad n was a known issue. they sent me an improved propella n has been working fine for over a week now.
i'm wondering if i should put it on a wavemaker.

I also have the gulf streams they work great no noticable noise but then again I have so much other noise in my tank that I wouldnt be able to hear a low hum
