How did your CA get so high???

What test kit are you using,& did you test more than once?

Doing a 25% water change should lower the calcium or just dont dose any calcium till it levels off.

Na they will be ok.Just do a good WC tomorrow.I'd be more worried about my ALK swing if you are keeping stonies.

That wouldnt hurt,but its not gonna make much of a difference,unless you have like a 10g tank.

How many gallons is your reef?

thank god man. ever since ive been gettin frags on manhattanreef ive never been into my tank than now. cuz today i saw my coral with the light on and half of them were closed. i was like f man. thanks for the advice tommmorrow for sure im goin to do a water change big time atleast 10.

I agree,if they appear "waxy" lookin on the top,that means that they are growing,sometimes you will see flesh like skin lookin stuff comming off.Sign of growth,perhaps maybe thats whats goin on here.

I'm having the same problem (screwed up my B-ionic when reconstituting it). My pink birdsnest has not be loooking very good for the past week. So, before my usual morning dosing routine I measured my calcium. It was 550, the Alk was 10 dKh. So, I skipped the calcium part and just added the Alk part. It bumped my Alk up to 12 which is a better ratio to the calcium, but it's now a little too high so I'm just going to do a 20% water change tomorrow and see if that brings things back in line. Chemistry is a b@%#ch!
