like title states, my clam has pinched mantle(or what ever that is called)
I did a fresh water dip for about 5 mins 2 days ago.
I see no progres for him.

This is my 2nd clam, the first one died of this, only I assumed it was caused by my purple lobster who was gone before I purchased this clam.

what can I do?

All tank parameters are within normal range

Fresh water dip-- 25-30 minutes in RO water that is matched for temp and pH as closely as possible. It sounds harsh, but it works and all but seriously compromised clams should be able to handle it. You need to periodically shake the clam in the dip to make sure no air pockets ( and thus untreated areas) remain. Do a search, I'm sure you can find the directions easily, but it is pretty much as I stated.

ok... it you lift the clam (or tilt him) you will see a slimy snot looking thing attached to the rock (that's the foot). if you touch it with you finger or the back of a knife it will retract. once it's retracted you will see what looks like a bunch of hairs... those can be cut... do not... I repeat do not cut the snot.... that's the clams foot.
