That seems pretty cool, why not try a De*Nitrate reactor using the same principle.

Ahhh gotcha, but don't you have to replace the sulfur every year?
Makes the costs ongoing doesn't it, and eventually more expensive?

In any reactor you need to change the media on a regular basis, so the cost on any one of them is increased with that cost.

Rick I was thinking of doing this in a single chamber type with carbon in it only.

The De*Nitrate description says you never have to replace it, if you keep it clean. Sounds kind of like how live rock works.
