Can I just put a strong MH bulb into my sunpod?

I have a 20" 150W MH by current USA sunpod.
Can I just add in a 250w bulb? Any Strenght stronger than 150W?

What type of replacement bulb do I buy?

No the socket is different.

Also the ballast is external on the 250 and internal on the 150.

only 150w mh de bulbs for replacements.
if u want 250w u also gota replace the ballast with 250w

ok, thanks. thats what I was dreading. Could I get another 20 inch sunpod w/ 150w and have then have 2 sunpods on top of the tamk Or would that create more problems? I do have a chiller. in case.

my 34 solana chief, I want to max out that sucker with light, make all my photosynthetic corals blow up.
I get the feeling that this is just to much power for my tank, and I might just buythe 250w and sell my 150w.
Just throwing ideas out there and thinking out loud.

should have gotten the 250w from the start, my lfs has that tank set up and has them for sell, love the bell pendent they have for them. is that the same 15w mh you have ?

no. Mine is a sunpod(had it from my aquapod setup) 20" 150 w
