I had both & I preferred the Tunze (6045), although the brackets are fragile & will break for nothing...
I don't like the looks of the Koralia & wasn't crazy about the directional flow it put out due to the center-brace (Hydor now has an attachment to correct this).
In my tank, I also didn't like that I was limited to certain angles I can position the pump.
It does put out some flow, though.

PS:
Dude, you have a chica now.
No time to be spending on a reef. Go buy a used Power Sweep & take her out....you cheap bastard. No :bunnies: for you!

:D

If the 6025 is controlable and you have one then get another with the controler others wise you could prob save on the hydor.

6025 and 6045 are NOT controllable, only the 6055 is and that's alot of $$$

The Koralias are controllable from what I hear using the Seio controller.

Kris...if you decide on the Koralia, Hydor sent me a bunch of the fish guards/concentrators to pass out to MR members. Just let me know what size if you get it & I'll pop them in the mail.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Phil,
You mean it split the flow in such a way that some went right and then some went left?
And me and the girlfriend do go out, we going out today as a matter a fact :lol2:

Kathy,
Do the fishguards and concentrators correct the problem that Phil wrote about? If I do get the hydor it's probably going to be the 2 or the 3. I'll let you know later today or early tmrw what I decide to get.

I have the 6025 already and like the flow it puts out in the 40br, but its pricey and if the korolia is just as good why not go with that for nearly half the price.
