Wavebox works better in 6-8 ft tanks vs 4 ft but will still work. I had a wavebox in a 180g turned down 40% and it still produced a 1" wave. Corner overflows are not ideal for wavebox unless you do a small wave. IMO, 2 Tunze 6100s on a Aquasurf with an AquaController does not produce a nice wave like a Wavebox and I played with tuning the frequency from .9 seconds to 1.5 seconds. Also IMO, 2 Vortechs on pulse mode also do not produce a wave like the Wavebox.
Very little energy is exerted with the Wavebox while with the other two options, your playing and tuning till your frustrated and still get subpar results.
Vortechs are also noisey due to the dry side motor whirling.
Wavebox, you will hear the pump also.

It would weaken any tank regardless of size because you're putting pressure on the sides each time you have the wave.
I don't see why you think a 6 feet tank is any different.
The reason being that in a 6ft tank the wave it cause would not be as strong as it would do to traveling longer distance which would reduce that actual burst on the wave box hitting the glass pane on the other side which would cause a gentler wave

I think it depends more upon the size of the wave which you can control in both a 4 feet and 6 feet tank. If you have it perfectly timed, the size of the wave will be much greater giving much more force on the walls each time it hits the other side. If you don't have it perfectly timed, then the wave will hit against another wave canceling each other out making the overall wave smaller.

:fishhit:

But Ming he used the words "not ideal"... Still leaving a window of possibility...
Using the word ideal doesn't mean definitely!!!!:fishhit::fishhit::fishhit::fishhit::fishhit::fishhit::fishhit::fishhit::fishhit:

I would like some clarification on this matter though....
In other words.....Will it work or no???? If so.. Pros and cons please...
Thanks

I think it means it will work, but the idea of "ideal" is a personal matter. One person could be happy as a pig in S**t with the small waves needed to make it work in a tank with corner overflows, while another person would be extremely unhappy with the small waves and the way the overflows are reacting to the wave motion.
Also I think it makes a difference if you have overflow boxes or free standing durso's in the corners. Which do you have? The corner boxes would be starved for water when the wave causes the level to drop on that side of the tank. The dursos may be more apt to handle the fast level drop then the boxes which need more fill up time for the water to hit the drain.

To sum it up, the water level in the center stays more constant, therefore it will have water go through more steadily. The water level on the sides are whats going up and down so it'll surge, and stop, and surge, etc which would cause much more of a splashing if it can surge that fast. If it can't, then the water level will get higher and higher, likely until the wave goes over the side of the tank.
You can remedy it by having smaller waves which should let the water go into the overflow more evenly.
