the most need is: the park slop, carrol gardens, fort green area (which also included neighborhoods like brooklyn heights, clinton hill, borum hill, red hook, dumbo, williamsburg, and greenpoint. In this entire area (i would estimate 10 mile radious), there is nothing for a while. You have to drive at least 20 - 30 minutes (often through high traffic areas) to get to a store. There's stores way south (bay ridge area) to the west (the island) and to the north (in upper queens)...nothing to the east (NY harbor).
And there are tons of reefers over here. I'm in clinton hill, and i new of several here.
Problem is rent. but here are some possibilties: fulton street east of washington...quickly developing, and still cheap, and Myrtle, east of say washington as well, or maybe a little more, say grand. You can also try the bedstey area....west bed stuy, closer to clinto hill, like bedford or norstrand avenues.
Hope that helps
